Employer of the Year for People with Disabilities Award Application

The River Heights Chamber is partnering with the Dakota-Scott Workforce Development Board (WDB) to present this new award in order to increase the awareness about hiring people with disabilities and recognize employers who do so. Thank you to the WDB’s Business Services Committee who put together the following criteria and questions for the application.  We hope you will consider applying!  All applications are held in a confidential manner. Please feel free to attach supporting documents as necessary.  The Recognition Committee of the River Heights Chamber of Commerce and a representative of the WDB will evaluate the business applications using the following criteria and supporting documentation.  Please complete each area, demonstrating how the business has met the criteria.

*The winner will be honored at the River Heights Chamber Annual Meeting luncheon held on January 9, 2020, at the InterContinental Saint Paul Riverfront.

Use this form to apply for the River Heights Chamber & Dakota-Scott County Workforce Development Board's Employer of the Year for People with Disabilities Award. The deadline to submit this award application has been extended to November 18, 2019.

  • Please describe the employer's marketing and outreach efforts to hire people with disabilities.
  • If applicable, please describe how the company is an ambassador to others who hire and work with people with disabilities.
  • Share any additional information that makes this company unique such as innovations, problems that were overcome, or other situations you feel are applicable.
